I have this idea for making an acoustic cover of living together, the idea is to have the rhythm guitar be acoustic and the lead guitar be played on violin, then hopefully some vocals on top as well.

I put together the intro quick as a proof-of-concept:

I love the idea, I also like the idea of doing the song in a string quartet form

This is such an amazing idea. I really love the way the intro clip sounds, so definitely keep this up, man.
And here we are, fractured and elusive.

Got some more of this recorded

Some of the violin parts are bit sketchy, I'll redo them when I have the whole song put together

What's kind of cool is that I transcribed the guitar parts using the "Amazing Slow Downer" program for mac, and there were additional rhythm guitar parts that I had never noticed before, I tried to add those to the violin parts (listen around :16 for one of them)

I'm just recording everything in GarageBand, the drums are midi with some effects to make them sound fuller.

sounds good man, real good. i may be retarded, and don't take this the wrong way, but the strings in the intro sound a bit off.

this is azming man. I listen to this song every day. and this cover is awesome... i'm not dissing on your singing at all. i like it in fact. but i was wondering if you could maybe put AG's vocals in the mix? i would like to see how it would sound... and do you have any tabs for the rhythm?

yeah this is a very interesting take on the song. I like it a lot especially after :49 . The instrumentals are hella nice and your voice is cool and melodic however i don't think the first two verses flow too great imo. I just think you could change it up in a more interesting way. But only those first two because your vocals sound really powerful after that. Anyway this cover is coming out great regardless.

I liked the first concept clip you did the best.  The tempo of it and the minimal drums were perfect.
