I'd love to enter this, but I'm underage :lovestruck: I might still make something just for fun though <3 Is anyone considering to enter this?

i can't believe you have to be over eighteen, though, that's such bullshit.

well, I'm a little confused; one part says that you must be over eighteen, but then somewhere below that it says that minors can enter but a parent/guardian needs to handle legal stuff or something. so I'm not sure whether I should enter one once I finish.

Niccee! I think I'm going to do a remix of I Felt Free. I'm going to make it have more strings and layer my viola playing in the mix. I could even recruit a violinist and cellist to help me. Stoked!

But wow, all of the stems are .wav files, so they're like 35-70 MB each!!!

Is it me, or do the vocals in the stems sound a bit different than the album's vocals?

they are the vocals..you just have to remember all of the backing vocals and delays that go with them.

there are so many things in these stems that i never even noticed in the full song. i feel like i'm going to be able to appreciate the songs a lot more after listening to these.

yeah, if BSN was mixed with more space in between all the sounds we would all still be listening everyday to it

it could be fun to use this material.
the vocals sound SUPER processed though..I'm sure whoever recorded/mixed it did it for the mix, but alone these vocals sound over compressed/obviously comped(composited not compressed)

did anybody notice that or is it just me?

Is that more or less the norm for vocals these days?
Played with the rest of the song you can't tell.

btw do we know if these tracks are raw or post mixing/editing?

If they are then that might make more sense, because volume automation would come into play.

well some of the stems aren't totally broken apart, so yeah I'm curious as to exactly what these are. going to mess with glass arrow for a few weeks and pray I come up with something interesting/ unique.
maybe throw in some of the samples from other songs if I feel like it. LOVE the kids shouting during the bridge, also you can hear the mix they were singing along to  in the background(quite well) while that's happening. haha

I wasn't sure if we were allowed to blend the song stems together from two separate songs, if anyone knows if you can post?

not really a remix but it would be fucking awesome if someone took vocals from different songs and edited them together to make a story or something.
