in my opinion, this article appears to be written by an unbiased individual who has ample experience with both microsoft- and apple-type user interfaces. it gives sound reasons why the latter is more ergonomic.

What you obviously didn't read from above my friend has a Macbook pro... I've played on it for hours upon end.
and like I said.. it's not worth the 2000$ he paid for it..
You said it was a powerbook.

Multi tasking wasn't even as close to as fast as my PC.. plus have you ever tried multi tasking on a Macbook Pro.. I had third degree burns on my lap by the time I was done using it.

I said multi threading, not multi tasking.
But big deal it gets hot, of course it does look how compact and prettier it is than your hunk of junk.

Oh and here's a story for the kids.

He wanted me over so I could teach him how do download entire cd's.
It took me an over an hour and about 10 failed programs to find a working rar opener... since Win Rar did not work with it.

Finally I found a very unpopular one off the mac website that worked... but sadly it hardly had any other features besides opening a rar file, and you couldn't even drag and drop.
Your stupidity with searching for mac os x software doesn't stand for the quality of a mac computer.

Yeah for some reason I typed in macbook pro... It's a top of the line powerbook though... hmm that was odd.

Yes I know but I also brought up another point.. which you completely avoided talking about.. because it was all truth and you'd have no argument.

LOL it wasn't the problem of me searching as you can tell... Win Rar is the like standard in Rar usage... it had a link to an os X download and no work... i go to about 10 others, and i get the same problem :).. it's not my fault its the mac.

Actually my computer doubles as a studio..

I have all the programs that a mac would like, Reason, Pro Tools, and Acid
Garageband Is completely overrated in my opinion.. its the same thing as acid basically.

But anyways It's a great setup with my sound interface which, connected to my bass, keyboard and mic.. and I've got a set of good monitors too that work great..

Theres no need for you to buy a new computer just to record music.

I know that was the second one I tried .. and for some reason it did not work on his powerbook, even after trying it twice.

You're completely diverting yourself away from my questions.
I do not enjoy my typing going to waste.

your typing isn't going to waste. other people's time is going to waste, upon reading your typing. you still haven't provided any real data to support your "opinions".

how's this for multitasking:

30+ apps open at once

the macbook is actually running multiple operating systems simultaneously.

None of you have any monumental points that make one system better than the other.  The fact of the matter is that it simply boils down to personal preference.  Sure, many industry standard programs are exclusively on mac, but that doesn't mean they're better suited for individuals.  I work extensively on both systems and each have their pros and cons.

Comparing performance on the highest end machines you can (realistically) get your hands on and obviously a PC is going to outperform bar none.  Now give one of those die hard enthusiast machines to an average person and have them maintain the performance levels.  Good luck.

Take said average person, have them integrate a bunch of programs and hardware on a mac and get to work.  Wow, that was easy.  I think the aesthetic properties of Macs are what draw the majority of newer consumers, and the ease of use keeps them loyal.

I'm a PC user at home, but that's only because I know most of the ins and outs and can do things you just can't on a Mac.  I would definitely take a mac as a second machine if I was in the market for one... and if they weren't so damned EXPENSIVE!  :)

wow, thanks for ending this debate. now go apply the same logic to abortion, and end that debate too.

i'm not trying to prove that macs are better. i'm trying to show Kewl Eric that he is an ignorant flamer.

The debate of this will never end.
If I die, another flamer will take my place.

This is my screenshot

much better.

I am running 50 windows of firefox... listening to music.. talking on aim.. playing an online game of counterstrike, and downloading a video off of limewire..

basically 50% pc usage.
