You all don't have to fight or be upset over this. This isn't completely unexpected, and there is no real way to know how these things even effect the overall sales of a record. Some could argue that having it leak now helps to build some hype and therefore helping more people become aware and maybe buying a record to support. for all of you that already preordered the record, and to those that will buy it even though it is free at this point, your support is obviously appreciated. And every purchase is going to help us continue more so than ever before because of the direct way we are doing this record. Those of you that will just take the freebee, we're all thieves hahaha. jk lol rofl

If the link is messed up its because I'm on my phone. :-)
This show was so much fun even though I was stuck in a corner filming. I'm glad I did so everyone who couldn't make it could see the while set.

yes, because not wanting the same things to be said over and over again is the true definition of close minded.
people keep making it a point to say that something is more poppy or that its more of a straight forward song. songs can be poppy and straight forward and still be good songs if they are done by the right people. like dylan said, there is more to circa survive than just doing the same things with their music that they started with. there are very few bands that i trust with their own music. circa is one of those bands. even if its not a clone of juturna like so many people want, we know there is going to be something different about the music that will be unique to them.
i don't know how you can call a song album filler when you haven't heard the album. its like people are in such a hurry to rush to judgement. they listen to a circa song, it doesn't sound like the first album so they decide they hate it. to me, that is being close minded. give the music a chance to sink in. wait until we can hear circa's take on this type of music. not everyone is going to want them to do the same thing, i get that. if you've been following the band for 6 or 7 years, you might want them to try something new. personally, i'd like to hear what they could do with a more poppy sound because i think that with how talented the guys are, they could write some really unique, catchy songs. it would just be something different from what we've heard in the past. if you've only recently gotten into them, you'll have a different opinion because you were pulled in by a certain sound and thats all you associate with this band.
they tried a new sound with BSN and even though some people might not like that sound as a whole, it produced some of the best songs this band has written. without the band going for something new, those songs would be there. i know that they could keep going in the same direction, writing the same type of music over and over and it would still sound pretty good. but anyone who has a passion knows that you aren't going to have nearly the same drive if you aren't challenging yourself by doing something you've never done before. i like everything that the band has done. its not because i "gush over every single thing" or i'm some annoying as shit, idiot fanboy that blindly worships the band. its just how its worked out. there are some songs i don't like as much as others, but i'm not going to get upset because they tried something new and talk in circles about the typical "their old stuff was so much better."

I believe so.
I'm thinking a lot of these won't be the titles on the record though, haha.

could you please take some good overhead pics of:
the front and back covers
and the inside pages
and both sides of the records please?
we want to compare them with the original press and see if there are any subtle differences.
I actually asked sumerian about them when they first went live and they said the vinyl editions of violent waves that they have are from the first run that was self released.

I made an mp3 of it if anybody wants ittt.
we'll see. I think it is the album title, but then again Brendan has a fucking weird sense of humor.
maybe they haven't really decided, and anthony got a little crazy at that show and it's just one name under consideration.

Anyway, I think you raise a very interesting topic of discussion and I'm sure we can all give you unbiased opinions of what we believe their stance may be.
Religion, particularly for the non-religious (myself included), do not love to discuss the topic of God and faith. If you were to ask any of the dudes what their positions are, they may choose to not discuss it with you. Spirituality is very private to me and I tend to internalize it so it's not something I speak freely about. It would appear that in Anthony's lyrics there exists some strife with "God". But, he could use God as a metaphor for other things. But I'll agree that even in songs like Kicking Your Crosses Down, it clearly appears that he has an issue with religion for one reason or another. Maybe it is the institution itself, maybe it's more personal. I think we can all relate that our parents raised us to worship a God or multiple Gods. Some continue in that path, others go in a different direction. Some feel betrayed or lead on, others just don't care. It's how they were raised and they were doing the only thing they knew how. His reasons are his reasons but I wouldn't call them "anti-religion". There are many beautiful things about religion that none of us can deny and it has brought good into this world. I think there are many that feel that the radically religious have caused a lot of hurt and harm and continue to do so. The band is anti-hate and they are extremely pacifistic, but not anti-religion.
For me, if I were to listen to a band that was very religious (ie: Mewithoutyou), it would only impact the way I appreciate and support their music based on how they "practice what they preach" or so to speak. Mewithoutyou is a fantastic band that has never made me feel threatened or offended by their beliefs. Others like For Today, for example, is a band I would never be able to support, even if I remotely enjoyed their music. To try to put myself in your position, I would tell you that this band has ONLY promoted love and acceptance and freedom to be who you are. The reason why Anthony does not typically discuss the meaning behind his lyrics is because he wants you to feel your own connection and find your own meaning. The songs don't have to be about God or religion. They can be about whatever is going on in your life and I think that's really special that he gives his fans the creative freedom in his music.
