Honestly, it's a pretty terrible lineup.

I'm not digging the lineup too much either. If I were to go to this I'd just be going for Circa.

I assume that Circa aren't playing either Washington dates then judging by their post? I can't tell and if anyone's got any validation on that, that'd be great, cause I don't wanna miss out regardless

I'll ignore Matt's comment cause personally that's a pretty cool lineup.

Although, I most likely will NEVER see Alice in Chains live without Layne :/ it just wouldnt feel right but their new album was pretty good.

Coheed and Cambria is alright.. I like maybe one or two songs by them.

Janes Addiction, I sort of like.. well at least this one song from them:

i'll never get sick of that song ♥

the other bands? I have no clue who the fuck they are.

Okay I agree with Matt this lineup sucks ass. and I hate energy drinks.

BUT they're coming to AZ so I might want to see them only for Circa and Janes.

i mean, its great exposure for the guys. i'm happy for them that they get to play with some big bands like that. just seems that outside of coheed, its an odd match for them.

i know you guys aren't super thrilled about the lineup.
and i'm not big on festivals unless im just there to hang.
it just seems like most outdoor daytime shows in huge venues everything is so watered down.
it never sounds as good, its not very intimate. and there are lots of people just ignoring amazing bands.
a weird scene. not really down.

but even still.

im stoked for circa. its nice that they are getting a chance to tour with a few bands that have been around for a long long time.
and hit up some arenas/ampitheathres that theyve never played before.

my buddy introduced me to janes addiction when i was like 10 and it was so interesting and different at the time.
it was before nirvana and pearl jam changed the mainsteam. janes was one of the bands i felt like i got in on on the ground floor.
although their later albums became less inspiring to me, their early albums really struck a chord early on.
navarro's guitar work became an important factor for me to pick up a guitar.
perry farrell was the first high register male voice i came to love.
so theres a fuzzy warm spot in me that likes that these bands are touring together. completes the circle.
and you never know, maybe theyll get a few new fans out of this tour, maybe more than we think.

I don't like Janes Addiction because the last time I saw them they were all doped up on a bunch of different drugs, and it was terrible.

right? that sucks.
prob not the drummer though. Stephen Perkins apparently never partook in anything hard.
i saw them a bunch of times in the late 90's and they were on. Flea was on bass. great shows.

that really not cool if they were too fucked up to put on a decent performance.
people are paying so they should be on their game.
but a bands private/personal/political issues has no affect on whether i like the music or not.
lyrics are one thing, not big on preachyness but with the music itself it has no bearing on me.

Does anyone have the exact setlist they played last night? I was fucking exhausted by the time they were on and just kind of zoned out to the music. I know Brother Song, Sharp Practice, Get Out, The Lottery, and Oh, Hello were played (not in that order), but I'm foggy on the rest.

Circa is not going to be able to cross into Canada to play the Toronto show.

I'm pretty sure this all stems from Anthony taking the rap in 2003 when Saosin and Story of The Year were shooting roman candles out of their vans while driving through Kansas. Apparently they started a 40 acre brush fire. Although many band members partook, Anthony stepped forward and got arrested. The charges were reduced from arson to littering. But i remember Anthony had trouble getting into Canada a few times because of it.

Wow, that's crazy. I've never heard of that, but I did know about his Canada problems.

yeah it seems that they have played the same set the past few dates, but there are some new intros/outros.
seems like a super short set. not even 30 mins.

01 - Oh, Hello
02 - Sharp Practice
03 - In The Morning and Amazing...
04 - The Lottery
05 - Brother Song
06 - Get Out
