Yeah, true. but it's not just the security i dislike about the factory. It's a little too big compared to the troc/tla which makes it a lot less intimate and therefore less enjoyable experience. Don't get me wrong, i've seen circa there 3 times and it's been great, just not my first choice. The church would be amazing but its tiny as hell compared to almost everywhere else.
The last time I was at the Electric factory I was inhaling marijuana the entire night. And by that I mean I wasn't the one smoking it lol The security must not be that great lol
I would fuckin' LOVE to see Circa at the church. That has to be the best venue. SO tiny and intimate. I hope I get to play there soon enough.
And here we are, fractured and elusive.

When I saw them there it was MISERABLE. The show was great, don't get me wrong. But people were passing out left and right, it was disgustingly hot and probably way past capacity. Anthony was so hot he threw up on my friend's leg. If they had only let 100 people in, I'm sure it would have been fantastic. But I'm not even kidding you, when we left that show we were so sweaty that our fingers were wrinkled as if we had just exited a pool. Not the best venue to see them in. Just sayin...

i don't understand what the big deal is about the church. people always act like its the greatest place to see a show but i don't think its any different than the other philly venues.

Hmms I understand what you guys are saying. I guess what I was trying to say was that it would be awesome to see them at a smaller like venue around Philly. Not that the TLA is very big, but I like how close you can get at the church is all. All the times I've been there though it's been pretty painful lol

Either way I'm excited for this tour!

I opt for the decrepit dilapidated Trocadero.
I like the 'condemned building' atmosphere.

I've never been to the Trocadero which seems weird, now that I think about it. From pictures I've seen it looks like another great venue in Philly.

Probably already been said, but seeing States will be amazing. I'm going to the Palatine show. So stoked to hear new Circa.

As much as I like States, I just find Mindy White horribly annoying.

the only time i've been to the trocadero was in like, 2006 when anthony did a solo show there. it was upstairs and that place was pretty tiny from what i remember. alas, it was a 2 hour drive from where i live (md) so i'd rather see them anywhere in dc/baltimore haha. but it was an acoustic anthony green show back when they were once a year and really uncommon.

She's very nice in person - I accidentally met her at a music video shoot back in the winter; it's how I first heard of her band. She likes Copeland, so she's okay in my book lol

Posted on Twitter the other day:

"Circa Survive
I hope anyone who comes to these shows rocks the appendage EP a teeny tiny bit beforehand. Surely to enhance your night...:)"

If they end their show with Lazarus, I may o-face in the middle of the crowd. Apologies to anyone at the Pomona show who gets hit with friendly fire.

Yeah I fucking love Lazarus. That is a sick song. I didn't really dig Stare Like You'll Stay when they played it on the Anberlin tour.

I remember this show!!! September 2008. He puked on one of my friends too. He actually puked about 7 times total. All in all it was the most incredibly intimate circa show I've ever been to.

Anyway, I'm super excited to see them for the 8th time at the Chameleon in 2 days. Maps & Atlases is definitely one of the best bands they've ever toured with.
