  1. I've been hearing the instrument-only versions of OLG songs in their recent instagram vids - anyone know if those are available to download anywhere? same goes for instrument-only versions of any circa songs.
  2. i can confirm they're on spotify - i downloaded them last night while i wait for my preorder to be shipped. anyones ship yet?
  3. I am liking this album much more than I expected I would. Much as I love AG in Circa, his solo stuff has always been a little hit-or-miss for me. This is much better than past albums - Will Yip's involvement doesn't hurt. I'm on my third listen currently. Current stand-outs for me: I'm Not Holding You Back Dawn On The Canal East Coast Winter
  4. so is this looking like an august release? they released that teaser which sounds amazing (and I think yip is involved with this which bodes well) but i havent heard anything since - dying to listen to the full song!
  5. Circa Survive "Juturna Deluxe" Discussion

from what I read in the VIP ticket info email, I think they get released at the end of the tour, same with when the records get shipped. so probably end of november?
  6. anyone else going to the show tomorrow night in NYC?
  7. Circa Survive "Descensus" Discussion

Agreed. OLG is a really close second

The only thing I'm not loving: some of the song transitions are really jarring and take you out of the song, which ruins the experience a little. In my opinion, anyway.
  9. Circa Survive "Descensus" Discussion

Alright, thoughts thus far: I was initially worried when I heard the album preview Circa released - I wasn't really digging any of it, and all of the comments on here about the album being "weird" had me really wary. But it downloaded to my computer from iTunes last night and I finally carved out some time to listen to it in its entirety today, and... I'm really digging it. It's definitely different, and more of a risk for them, but it still sounds like Circa. I'm in the process of listening to it for a second time right now, as I don't understand the "it's the best track on the album" comments about Nesting Dolls when it sounds very AG solo project to me and I want to see if it grows on me (it's a cool song, but it's not my fave), but the album is a lot of fun. The title track is definitely a bit of an homage to the current post-hardcore movement, and the beginning instrumentals on Always Begin is VERY On Letting Go to me. Favorite tracks so far: -Only The Sun -Sovereign -Child of the Desert

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DiCmZE1LiTU Album preview (official) I'm trying to stay optimistic.
  11. Circa Survive "Descensus" Discussion

Agreed, I'm loving "Only The Sun" and I think that's definitely due in part to the fact that it is very On Letting Go, in the best possible way. Much more optimistic about this album - Schema is decent but I'm already in love with this track. I wonder if this, Jimi, and Schema are the three songs they'll be playing live from the new album (they said in their AMA that they'd probably play 3 songs from the album).
  12. Circa Survive "Descensus" Discussion

Not feeling the song, unfortunately. It's loud and will probably be cool live, but I'm just completely indifferent to it. Hopefully it's not indicative of the album - it just doesn't have that great Circa spark that all the rest of their songs have and feels more like a b-side.
  13. Got my shipping confirmation - package is at the post office, should be here in the next couple of days, hopefully
  14. Anyone know how many copies of the album (digital/preorder/hard copy) they've sold?
  15. lol thats a pretty absurd review, still amusing though
